* Students in grades 1-2 had to use a piece of cardstock to create parallel lines while using black paint and sweeping inward to create a birch tree.
* Students then used watercolor for the background and sponge paint with fall colors for the trees leaves.

* Students learned about the ocean in a previous lesson, so when it came to clay, they were to "sculpt" something that they would find in the ocean.

* Students had to create a football team, logo, and colors. They were not allowed to use a team that exists solely. They could incorporate teams and stack teams.
