Students learned about a different style of portraits through learning about Picasso's abstract portraits. Students also learned how to use a line of symmetry to combine two different images. Students had a choice of combining two images in a frontal view, a profile view or by breaking an image apart in a cubist style, like Picasso. Students were to draw their image and then they were to use line designs in the background. Student's were then to color their image in using a variety of media: colored pencils, oil pastels, markers, sharpies, or crayons.
